Geology Department Leads a Field Trip to the Burpee Museum of Natural History

The Geology Department took a group of students, faculty, and staff to the Burpee Museum to explore the Earth’s and the Wisconsin-Illinois stateline region’s natural history.

The Geology Department recently led a field trip to the Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford, Illinois. Trip participants received guided tours, led by museum staff, on the dinosaur and other fossil collections at the Burpee as well as the Ice Age history of the stateline region. The trip wrapped up with the opportunity to learn about and even touch some of the reptiles on display at the museum.
